    Washington Post's 2008 summer Rosé roundup favorably describes the 2007 Van Duzer Pinot Noir Rosé as " . . . medium-bodied and well balanced, pairing beautifully with grilled chicken, salmon or tuna."

     
  • New Release - 2006 Estate Pinot Noir is rich & ripe
    The 2006 crop was gathered during the hottest harvest time on record, endowing the 2006 Estate Pinot Noir with unusually deep, rich, flavors. Despite the challenging conditions, Van Duzer's signature wine retained the structure and balance for which it is known.

     
  • New Release - 2005 Dijon Block Designate long on spice
    The 2005 Dijon Blocks limited release bottling demonstrates the multi-dimensional fruit and spicy characters of its Dijon parentage. Flavors were tempered and integrated with the wine's tannic backbone over 16 months of barrel aging and another 12 months in the bottle.

     
  • Van Duzer Named 2008 Oyster Award Winner
    Judging panels of chefs and wine critics in three West Coast cities whittled down the field of 200 entries to name Van Duzer 2007 Pinot Gris and 11 other wines as a "2008 Oyster Wine." Van Duzer Pinot Gris displays dry, crisp freshness that judges consider a good accompaniment to the briny, clean taste of fresh oysters.

     
  • Good Bugs, Bad Bugs - Maintaining a natural balance enhances sustainability at Van Duzer
    Van Duzer Vineyards relies on beneficial insects and predator mites to control potentially harmful pests instead of environmentally harmful insecticides and miticides. The Summer 2008 Van Duzer Vane describes the lively scene taking place between the vineyard rows. Colorful pictures get readers up close to six and eight-legged heroes and villains.

     
  • 2005 Flagpole Block Pinot Noir released in April 2008
    Lately it seems that each of Van Duzer's Block Designates ages according to different physiological clocks. The wait has paid off for Flagpole Block, our Wädenswil-based original Block Designate Pinot Noir. A dry summer in 2005 produced especially rich, concentrated fruit in the steep site. Following two and one-half years in the cellar, the wne is "open for business."

     
  • 2007 Pinot Gris and Rose' Released in April 2008
    Ahhh . . . just as surely as flower buds appear and temperatures climb each spring, Van Duzer's 2007 Estate Pinot Gris and 2007 Estate Pinot Noir Rosé wines will be ready for release in April. Still bearing the freshness of fruit harvested six months earlier, the 2007 vintage Pinot Gris and Rosé happily accommodate diners' appetites for lighter menus and dry, crisp wines.

     
  • Oregon's Largest Charity Wine Auction Named Van Duzer 2008 Wine Ambassador
    Oregon's premier charity wine auction tapped Van Duzer Vineyards as the Oregon Ambassador for Portland's annual event that easily raised over $3 million for area nonprofit organizations. Proprietors Carl and Marilynn Thoma created "The Art and Soul of Santa Fe" a live auction package of four days in historic Santa Fe filled with opera, gallery tours, visits to artist studios and dining in Santa Fe's finest restaurants.

     
  • 2006 Vintner’s Cuvée
    Van Duzer released its Vintner’s Cuvée line of Pinot Noir for the first time last year and quickly sold out. The 2006 vintage is likely to prove just as popular. This is the perfect house wine, a blend of six Pinot Noir clones that capture the grape varietal’s many nuances. Selected from newer vines on the estate following the warm summer of 2006, this full-bodied wine offers up a rich texture and abundant aromas of plum, spice, blackberry and blueberry. Flavors of black cherry, ripe plum and fresh garden herbs predominate.
